Earthly questions

To my brother Louie,

I wonder how it feels like to be in heaven. Can you see me from above? Do you now know all of my secrets? All the things I should’ve told you about?

Are you laughing at my messy room? Or how I try to perfect my brows? And the weird way I put on lipstick?

A vision flashed before me as you sat beside Him in paradise. Jesus was talking to you like there was no one around. How amazing is that! I envy you.

“then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.”                                             -Ecclesiastes 12:7

As I bid you goodbye, I’m happy to see you go, cousin. For as it says in Philippians 1:21, “to live is Christ and to die is gain.”

Thank you for sharing your life with us. You were a living testimony of God’s faithfulness in our lives. As you bid us goodbye, your fruitfulness on Earth is the continuation of God’s glory. Thank you for letting God use you as an instrument for His victory.

You will be deeply missed.

I love you.

Goodbye
