How to travel a city alone

UNPUBLISHED POSTS: Originally entitled POLAROID dated November 2017

As the best photographers would often say, “The best camera is the one you have at hand.”

On my last night in Brisbane, I finally crossed the Treasury Casino and went past Victory Bridge to South Bank.

If you have been following my posts, you would know that on my first night here, I didn’t go past the Treasury Casino. It was beyond my limits to explore any further at a city I’ve never set to before with no map of any kind.

After roaming around Southbank at night, I was heading off back to my hotel and took a new route around the Wheel of Brisbane.

I suddenly stopped to see an amazing view from directly below it. I wouldn’t have seen it if I didn’t take that turn, if I haven’t decided to try something new, if I didn’t put myself beyond my limits.

This photo was taken just using my phone. It’s nothing fancy and nothing grand.

But this one signifies all the new things i have done and all the NO’s I have tried anyways. My stay here has opened my eyes to many wonderful things. The beauty of this photo is nothing compared to what my eyes have seen and what memories I’ll be bringing home.

I am glad that at the end of my stay here at Brissy, I was able to check off everything on my bucket list and experienced things beyond that.

Thank you for all the people who have made all of these possible.

Most especially, thank you Papa God for this wonderful blessing.
