I know you are tired.
I see your spirit crushed by a society that expects you to let go of standards but also condemns you when you lose them.
I see you torn by the ways of this world, your desires, the black-and-whites.
I see you’re about to give up.
But have faith!
• … for [my] joy is your strength. (Nehemiah 8:10)
• So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God… I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)
• [I am your] strength and [your] song; [I have] given [you] victory. (Exodus 15:2)
I am your refuge when you are oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Seek me and you will lack nothing – even when it’s hard and you are going against the current. You are not alone. I am with you always.
Trust in the Lord forever, for in the Lord God you have an everlasting rock. – Isaiah 26:4
Remember that I am your hiding place. I will protect you from trouble and surround you with songs of deliverance. I am your refuge underneath my everlasting arms. I will give you rest.
Child, cry to me for help, for I hear you. I am here to rescue you all in times of trouble.
I said in my word, “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength.”
So come! Accept my invite with this peace that comes through my perfect love.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. – John 14:27
Receive this showering of shalom – my perfect peace. Feel the embrace of your loving father. Let these words resound in your heart:
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.”
Run back to me, my child, as the prodigal son went back to his father. I will meet you and cloth you with the best robe, ring and sandals. Don’t you know that I have been waiting for you?
Let me fight your fights for I have surely won the victory. Abide in me, as I in you.
I am welcoming you back home.
Your loving father,
